Throughout the ages, snakes have held both reverence and fear, for they possess potent symbolism. The ancient ouroboros, a symbol portraying a serpent or dragon consuming its own tail, resonates as a profound representation of the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth. This symbolic imagery can be found in the thoughts and texts of ancient civilizations, including the Egyptians, Greeks, Norse, Chinese, and Indians.
I have nurtured a deep desire to create a collection that embraces the essence of snakes and the ouroboros for as long as I can remember - The first piece in this collection, featuring a coiled snake wrapped around a disc, marked an auspicious beginning. The sinuous energy of the delicate chains, the circular perfection of the coiled serpent, and the hollowed center of the disc all carry profound symbolism.
